WARMING THE GLOBE. ARE YOU SERIOUS?

At first sight the title may seem a global warming paradox. On closer inspection it refers to the relationship between global warming and the current social chill in our societies. The Earth‘s temperature reacts to the sharp decline of warmth in many sectors of everyday life – in the structures of society, in institutions, in administration, work environments, in education, the social sector, in our forms of communication, and in our relations with animals, plants, and in our handling of how we spend our time.

Any physical material saved, or attempts at insulation, advancements in energy production are probably not sufficient to adequately meet the challenges of global warming. We suspect, that this task is much bigger: It includes a crucial self-transformation.

WARMING OF THE GLOBE by 1°C contends with global warming through a strategy of human re-warming, so that the Earth can go back to a healthy temperature. A transformation way beyond a metaphor towards real change.

We proclaim a social WARMING OF THE GLOBE by 1°C until 2030!

This platform collects projects and shares them widely to be deployed for further use. The more the projects are applied, transformed and spread, the greater the collective impact!

WARMING THE GLOBE BY 1°C encourages individual initiative and provokes new forms of cooperation. The project works on the basis of open-ended definitions of art and creativity inviting everybody to participate. Global society is our studio.

We will continue to work on developing further initiatives of this project. Social warming of the globe is a matter of ecology, of economy and democracy. A change will not be possible below these levels. Nevertheless we try in parallel to contribute some possibilities of the moment.
