On your block, in your town and its architecture, in the social or institutional structures you encounter, in the working envirionment, in communication with other people, in the goods you consume or beyond?
Identify these situations. These are your starting points. How might you spontaneously alter these situations through creativity, through art? How could you take one of these instances and warm it up, make it more human? Choose the idea that makes you the most curious and brings you the most joy – even if at first, you have no clue how it might actually work.
Take inspiration through the projects on this website. But trusting your own ideas is way better! Think about intervention, action, installation, social invention, utopias, stories, sounds.
Don’t overlook humor as a fantastic vehicle to communicate both odds and obstacles. Let courage grow. Don’t overplan. Mostly less is more.Your project does not necessarily need a lot of money. You can realise a powerful idea with just 2 Eur! Use recycled material as much as possible.
Realise your idea on location, alone or together with others. Document your project with photos.
Please send us a short, descriptive document about your project with a few photos and a text of 50 – 200 words in English language. Send a single PDF per project [maximum size: 3 MB.]
Submissions will be moderated and participation in WARMING THE GLOBE BY 1°C is based on individual responsibiity and associated risk.
Crucial to the success of WARMING THE GLOBE BY 1°C is that as many people as possible try out, develop, and spread the projects collected on this website, to generate maximum warmth. By extension, all participants relinquish individual authorship and copyright and share their projects on this website for free public use for an unlimited period of time.
